Speaking about this movie Adhavan, the Director K S Ravikumar said,” Adhavan is the name of the character of Surya produced by Red Giant Movies.  Surya has not acted in this kind of role so far. He is donning the role of an anti hero.  Nayanthara is pairing with Surya.  Saroja Devi, Vadivelu, Bollywood actor Rahul Dev, Anand Babu, Nasar and 45 important actors are starring in this film. The shooting of the film is to take place in Italy and Calcutta.

As usual this film will have all the commercial aspects like my other films. This film will not have a separate track for Vadivelu but it will intermingle with the story. More importance will be given for graphics in this film. Harris Jayaraj has composed music for this film. The songs have come out with excellence.
